p.s.--I'M DONE WITH HIGH SCHOOL! WOOOOO!

4.4.02 @ 03:15 p.m.

take THAT, fordham!

i got into usc. sort of.

i got into the spring semester at usc. so what does that mean? it means that, if i were to attend usc, i would be enrolling in january instead of august.

thanks, but no thanks. i'm going to syracuse.

AH-RANGE!

felix is home!

happy easter, all. so i didn't make a new layout yet. screw you.

speaking of screw you, i got into fordham...but i didn't get into lincoln center. i got into rose hill...the bronx campus...the one i didn't really want to be on. so i don't think i'll be enrolling at fordham. now i just need to hear from usc, but i don't think i'll get in there either. so syracuse class '06, here i come!

tomorrow!

so felix is coming home tomorrow. i'm so excited. i wonder when i'll hear from him. i can't wait to see him...hold him...kiss him.

i have more passion play goodness tomorrow night at lifeteen. anyone who would like to attend is welcome.

i got into bu and waitlisted at pepperdine. they'll be getting their "fuck you, i'm not coming to your school" letters soon in the mail.

happy birthday dear kelly

hooray, kelly's a legal adult! we threw her a surprise party. she didn't seem that surprised...but that's ok. my friends aren't very good at keeping secrets...or being subtle...hehe. i shouldn't talk, cuz i can do neither as well.

ok, i'll work on a layout this weekend, because this layout is now really old. and maybe i'll put some content in as well. the senior slide even affects my own personal webspace.

i think i'm going to take my cues from melisa and dismantle my scribble...because i don't ever write in it. chalk another one up to laziness.

and i seriously cannot concentrate in school anymore. medusa gave us a little pep talk about how we should avoid the senior slide as best we can. pretty much all i heard was "blah blah blah," because i can't listen to her anymore. it's ok, i have less than 20 days left.

no word yet on other schools...oh, and have i mentioned that FELIX IS COMING HOME THIS WEEK? BECAUSE FELIX IS COMING HOME THIS WEEK!!!!!

update...kinda

all right, this isn't an update on the site. the site is boring, i know. kill me.

college update: i was accepted to umass-amherst and they offered me a position in their COMM-TAP (communications talent advance program)...only 24 comm majors get accepted and they picked me because i'm such a great scholar. yeah.

i was also accepted to syracuse, with an $8,000 scholarship a year. not bad. i don't know what the deal is with fordham, i don't know what the deal is with my other 3 colleges. i don't know what's going on. and i don't know where i want to go anymore.

lack of updates

sorry for the lack of updates. i'm on vacation this week, and i've been running around and doing stuff. uh, hopefully, i'll start being more productive soon. right.

43 days?

i think that's how many days there are left of high school...including finals, not including weekends.

i gotta find something to do for my service project. any ideas, world?

in other news, i went to the lifeteen v-day stag semi-formal last night. it was interesting. dinner was first (and it was good food...better than the prom!), in a nicely-decorated lifehouse. then afterwards, they made arrangements for the dancing part of it. everyone was supposed to dance with 10 different people of the opposite sex. 4 people were assigned, and then you had to find the other 6 people. as there were, as always, more girls than guys, everyone would be left without a partner for one of the dances. mine was the 9th dance, so i danced with a balloon. i got my groove on the rest of the night with tavi and bink and erika. and...yeah. that was pretty much it!

I HATE DRAMA!

AAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!

let's discuss my hatred for the ursuline drama program. but first, let me give you a bit of history behind my experience with ursuline drama...

drama, up until 10th grade, was awesome. marylee, our director, was a little strange, but she managed to pull off some decent shows and things always went ok. then all of a sudden, in my sophomore year, she just stopped showing up...and essentially, there was no drama program at ursuline 99-00. then last year, we got the "terrible trio", so to speak...mary, diana, and ken. also known as the queens and lord kenneth, they were a pain for me to work with at first, being so used to marylee's free spirit, but we managed to pull off a great show (anything goes). unfortunately, they were high-cost and high-maintenance, so sr. mercedes let them go.

now this year, we have mrs. k, whose full name i will not divulge. she's a nice lady...too nice. the christmas pageant was a disaster because she handled it "democratically," and essentially didn't direct it. we all wrote our own scripts, all of us seniors eventually dropped out, and everyone else improved their way through. and now, we're doing this musical, babes in arms. she began holding auditions three weeks ago. she still has not finished casting the play!! i am so thoroughly annoyed by this point, especially since she plans on doing it the first weekend in april and we usually don't do our play until may. so i'm really beginning to wonder how we're going to manage to do an entire play in less than two months when we don't even have all the parts cast yet. we have no guys of which to speak, none that i have seen, aside from andrew...who, after dilligently showing up to rehearsals for the past three weeks, was cast as a minor role. if i have to kiss a girl onstage, in front of my entire family and my boyfriend, i'll be pissed. oh wait, i forgot, mrs. k. refuses to cast any girl in a guy role because it "makes her uncomfortable." uh, in case she missed it...WE GO TO AN ALL-GIRLS' SCHOOL!!!

and i haven't even gotten to our music director yet, bobbi (spelling?). ever heard that rhyme "chinese school has just begun, no more laughing no more fun, if you show your teeth or tongue, then you get a penalty"?? (i don't think that's the real ending, but whatever.) she IS that schoolmistress. i swear, if you could use whips and chains in schools, she would have them handy at all times. she's music director neo-nazi! "go! go! sing la! go! you, stop singing! go! sing scale now! go!" it's scary.

i guess i'm done now.

dreams

we were talking about dreams this morning...that was probably the high point of my day. the rest of it pretty much sucked from thereon. mrs. earls was being a bitch. people riding my arse all day. i hate people.

i hate that we live in a world where criticism is plenty but compliments are few.

59 days and counting...

59 days! 59 days left of high school!!

this is so massively exciting. we got measured for graduation dresses today. every day, something new and exciting happens. i can't keep track of myself. yesterday i auditioned for a lead in babes in arms. i auditioned for terry, a boy-crazy chick who is funny. c'mon, that's me to a t! er, or tee, or...whatever. not important.

and if you want to see some REAL excitement, head on over to z-c.com...you'll find plenty is afoot there.

i'm boring, sue me

not much has been going on in the life of nicole. midterms were all this week, so i haven't had a chance to do much of anything. communications was easy. religion was about what i had expected, if not a bit easier. government was cake. but french and english are two totally different stories. i think everyone would agree with me on english. damn you, mrs. earls. damn you.

other than that, life has been dull. i STILL have not received my christmas present from fee (stupid postal system), and i'm frustrated with the cable on my tv because i can't get it to work correctly.

um...until next time, when i actually get some updates here...

eventful weekend

well, i figure i rarely ever tell interesting stories about my days, so i decided that this weekend was eventful enough to report on.

so friday, melisa and i decide to go to the concert that mike's band, premiere, is playing at in framingham, in hopes of getting melisa's $80. (for those of you who are just tuning in, mike has owed melisa $80 since we went to the weezer concert last march.) so we went, and the first band on was a jam band, and mel and i were getting rather bored. so we tried to skip out, and we told mike we'd be back around 9 to hear his band. we went to target and then went back to the civic league...and the second band has just taken the stage. so everything was really behind schedule. the second band (herself, a orgy ripoff) was droning at some point, so me and mel went outside to get some fresh air, and then went back inside to hear mike's band...they were decent (for a garth brooks wannabe, a christina aguilera wannabe, a flea wannabe, a guy with an inferiority complex, and a doped-up drummer). and of course, mike didn't have the 80 bucks. what a shock.

then saturday, i attempted to study...which didn't go over that well. i couldn't concentrate on religion, no matter how hard i tried. and calculus was going all right...and i didn't bother with anything else. around 5ish i headed for work. and lo and behold, i don't have to clean or do returns! i get to sign the sale! it was thrilling because i had no boss. i WAS the boss. it was awesome.

so TODAY at work, about an hour before the end of my shift...the power goes out! i had an absolute ball. everything was running on a temp generator, so they could keep the registers working. we had to herd all of the customers to the front of the store. and about 5 minutes before the temporary generator was going to shut off, the power came back on...and i got to go home. it was so much fun!

and here's where trouble's a-brewing. i get home, and my lazy ass brother who sits around and does nothing all day hasn't bothered to shovel the driveway. so i can't get in...and his excuse is "rob's here." i don't care if the president was here, get out and help! so i left more than half for him to do because my back was killing me and i had to leave to make it to lifeteen on time. and at lifeteen, my friend sean...well, apparently everyone thinks we're dating. now, i'm not putting this idea in anyone's head. and he says he's not. but...it's really annoying. i mean, he's a great guy and all, but a) i have a boyfriend, b) he's two years younger than i am, and c) even if i were single, i wouldn't date him because i know it would never work. he's just not my type. ARGH!

SO i get home, and my mom decides as soon as i go on the computer to clean out the wires and try to find the wire to load pictures into the computer. so...ARGH. just frustrated.

and that's the end of my weekend. bye!

this is my new rainbow fascination.

i changed a little bit here and there, and added a couple new links.

enjoy!
